AKBAR KAKKATTIL
Akbar Kakkattil (1954–2016) was born on July 7, 1954, in Kakkattil, Kozhikode district. His father was P. Abdullah and his mother was C.K. Kunjamina. He held degrees in English Literature and Education, and a postgraduate degree in Malayalam Literature. He received several major honors, including the S.K. Pottekkatt Award, a Government of India Fellowship for Literature, the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, the State Television Award for Best Story Writer, and the Abu Dhabi Sakthi Award. Over his career, he published 47 works. He served as a member of the Central Sahitya Akademi and the Malayalam Advisory Board of the Kerala Government. From 2013, he was the Vice President of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi. He passed away on February 17, 2016.
Vinod Krishna
Vinod Krishna is a writer and filmmaker. 9 MM Baretta, his first novel, was published by DC Books. Kannusoothram and Urumbu Desam are his short story collections. His short film, Mayyankalam, and feature film, Eelam, also won national and international acclaim.
Manoharan V Perakom
Manoharan V Perakom is a prominent Malayalam author. His debut short story collection titled Jalajanmam won the E P Sushma Award and the Gayathri Award. His debut novel Aadhikalude Pusthakam was considered for the 2005 DC Books Novel Carnival Prize. He is also the recipient of the Rajalakshmi Novel Award and the V P Muhammadali Novel Award for his novel Kettangalude Moonu Dashabdhangal. Oru Pakistaniyude Katha is his most recent publication.

Kunhikannan TP is an author and a retired professor of Economics from CKGM Govt. College,Perambra. He has published books and articles. Three books were published by DC including one on climate change.
Sujith Bhakthan
Sujith Bhakthan, an Indian YouTuber, specializes in travel vlogging. He`s renowned for his videos featuring diverse destinations, cultural experiences, and primarily focusing on Kerala, India. His content centers on exploration, travel advice, and presenting distinctive experiences to his audience. With over 4 million followers across his social media platforms, he has visited 50 countries to date and is planning to visit all countries of the world. J Devika
J Devika teaches and researches at the Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum, Kerala. She is interested in the intertwined histories of gender, politics, culture, and development in Kerala and has published widely across the subjects of social science and humanities in national and international journals. She writes in both English and Malayalam in various disciplines. She is part of the feminist group Althea. She maintains a memorial website of writings of and by first-generation educated Malayali women, Swatantryavaadini.in. She translates literature from Malayalam to English and social science and social theory from English to Malayalam. She writes for both children and adults currently experimenting with writing fiction focused on climate change blurring the boundaries between science, humanities, and discussions of ethics for children.
Sudha Menon
Sudha Menon is a renowned author, columnist and labour rights specialist. She is the author of two widely popular books in Malayalam, Charithram Adrushyamaakkiya Murivukal and India Enna Ashayam. Her debut book, Charithram Adrushyamaakkiya Murivukal, depicts the emotional and harrowing experiences of the survivors of war and ethnic violence in South Asia. This book received three prestigious awards such as the Thoppil Ravi Award, the Avani Bala Award and the Muthukulam Parvati Amma Award. Sudha has been instrumental in rehabilitating the conflict and disaster- affected women in Kashmir, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Afghanistan. Sudha has travelled across South Asian villages including the difficult terrains of Nepal, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, and conducted in-depth interviews with some of the most vulnerable women affected by earthquakes, human trafficking, civil war, religious terrorism, and patriarchy. She regularly contributes to newspapers and magazines.
Gayathri Arun
Gayathri Arun is a writer and actor. She has worked in radio and publishing before becoming an actor. She started off as an actor through the television series Indira in Mazhvil Manorama. She has also acted in Parasparam , a television series on Asianet. Continuing her acting career she has also acted in films such Sarvopari Palakaran, Thrissur Pooram, Orma and One. She has received several awards such as the Asianet Television Best Actress Award, Most Popular Actress Award, Mangalam Star of the Year Award, Malayalam Television Fraternity Award and Janmabhoomi Television Award among others. Achappam Kathakal is her first publication.
Aswathy Sreekanth
Aswathy Sreekanth is an actress, television host, writer and influencer from Kerala. She is a recipient of the Kerala State Television Award for Best Actress in 2020 for her performance in the popular sitcom Chakkappazham. `Tta`yillatha Muttayikal and Mazhayurumbukalude Rajyam are two of her books. Her recent publication is the book, Kaali.
Aash Ashitha
Aash Ashitha is an acclaimed journalist and author. An active contributor to noted publications, her works have been translated into English as well as German. Mushroom Cats, Jenniferum Poochakannukalum and a translation of the Kannada work Mohanaswami are some of her most acclaimed publications. Aash Ashitha currently serves as the Deputy News Editor of the Times of India. Mungamkuzhi is her most recent collection of short stories.
