S Hareesh

An esteemed author and screenwriter, S. Hareesh is one of the leading voices in contemporary Malayalam literature. He received the Geetha Hiranyan Endowment Award of the Kerala Sahitya Academy for his first story collection Rasavidyayude Charithram. His critically acclaimed novel Meesha won the Kerala Sahitya Academy Award, and its English translation won the 2020 JCB Award. He is also the recipient of other prestigious accolades like the Thomas Mundassery Story Award and the V P Shivakumar Memorial Award. S. Hareesh has penned the screenplay for several widely acclaimed films like AedenJallikattuChuruli and Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam. His recent book, Pattunoolpuzhu was released last year.

Subhash Ottumpuram

Subhash Ottumpuram is a well-known author of Malayalam short stories. A contributor to children’s literature as well, he writes for several contemporary publications. His major short story collections include PrathivishamOre Kadalile Kappalukal and Thirich Kittiya PuzhakalKadappurathe KavothiEkanthanavikalNeelanirathilulla Manathu Kanni and Ravanante Meesha are a few of his notable works of children’s literature.

Dr. Nikhilesh Menon

Dr. Nikhilesh Menon is a renowned author, director and medical practitioner. He has published four research papers and directed two short films. PradhamadrishtyaAgocharamHananam and Prathikriya are the novels penned by him. Dr. Nikhilesh Menon currently serves as an Assistant Surgeon as well as the Nodal Officer for Strengthening Lab Systems of the Kerala Health and Family Welfare Department. Prima Facie, a domestic thriller, is his most recent publication. 

P M Govinadanunni

P M Govinadanunni is a noted Malayalam author. The recipient of the prestigious Edasseri Award, he has previously published two poetry collections titled Nishchalam and AmaratharakamKinavanam is the novel published by him. Aadukalude Vathil is his latest collection of poetry. 

Francis Noronha

Francis Noronha is a renowned Malayalam author. A contributor to several notable periodicals as well, he is the recipient of the inaugural Chembil John Award, the Sahid Smaraka Sahitya Theeram Award and the T V Kochubava Award for his story collection titled ThottappanAsharanarude SuvisheshamKanipaniyunna Kaserakal, Mundanparunki and Masterpiece are a few of his other acclaimed works. Mudiyarakal is his most recent novel.

Santhan

Santhan is a notable poet in Malayalam literature. He is also well known as a film lyricist, critic, essayist, translator and cultural worker. His prominent works include Riding on a Motorbike in the RainNeeladharaYudhavum MrityunjayavumYoga Nireeswararakum (translation), The Story of the Golden Sparrow and IFFK 100 Vismaya Chithrangal. In 2006, he received the Asan Prize for Young Poets for his poetry collection Riding on a Motorbike in the Rain, published by DC Books. He was also awarded the K. Raveendran Nair Memorial Award for his series of essays and the Nooranad K. Ramachandran Single Poem Award for his poem Neeladhara.

Dinnu George

Dinnu George is a noted author writing in Malayalam. He is the recipient of several prestigious accolades such as the O N V Sargaprathibha Award, the Basheer Story Award, the Malayalam Aikya Vedi Award and the Anganam Award, amongst others. He also contributes stories for several leading contemporary publications. Dinnu George is currently a research fellow at the Malayalam Department of Calicut University. Kra is his debut short story collection.

N.S. SUMESH KRISHNAN

N S Sumesh Krishnan is an award-winning Malayalam author. He is the recipient of around fifteen literary accolades such as the Kadathanatt Madhavi Amma Memorial Poetry Award, the Vallathol Award, the Punaloor Balan Award, the Vailoppilli Award and the Bharathiya Bhasha Parishat Literary Award, among others. Verukal PadumbolUlkkazchayude UllarakalOrmayude IthalukalRudraksharamChandrakantham and Neelakurinji are a few of his widely acclaimed publications. N S Sumesh Krishnan represented Malayalam Literature at the All India Poet Association held at Agartala in Tripura in 2018. He currently serves as a Malayalam Faculty at the Thrikkariyoor Devaswom Board High School.

AJAY P MANGATTU

Ajai P Mangattu is a prominent bilingual author and translator. Ajai P Mangattu studied B.A. at Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam, and M.A. in English language and Literature at Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam. Later took a PG Diploma in Journalism and Communication from Kerala Media Academy. He currently serves as an Assistant Editor at Malayala Manorama. His debut novel is titled Susannayude GranthappuraDeham and Moonu Kallukal are the other novels penned by him. He is the author of literary criticisms titled Noam Chomsky: Daishanika JeevacharithramEkanthathayude PuravruthamLokam AvasanikunillaParavayude Swathanthryam. And a study titled Hridayasallapam. He has translated into Malayalam such works as Night by Elie Wiesel, Ambedkar: Towards an Enlightened India by Gail Omvedt, The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak, and Derida: Islam and the West.
