C V BALAKRISHNAN

C V Balakrishnan is a versatile novelist, short-story writer and screenwriter writing in Malayalam. His oeuvre comprises more than sixty works across several genres. His works titled Athmavinu Sheri Enn Thonunna Karyangal, Paralmeen Neenthunna Padam and Ethetho Saraninkalil won the Kerala Sahitya Academy Awards, and his study titled Cinemayude Idangal won the State Award for Best Book on Cinema. He has also won several Awards for Overall Contributions such as the Muttathu Varkey Award, the Padmaprabha Award, the Basheer Award and the O Chandu Menon Award, among other accolades. Swecha is his latest collection of short stories.

MANOJ KUROOR

Manoj Kuroor is an acclaimed author and lyricist. He is the recipient of several prestigious accolades like the SBT Poetry Award, the Kerala Sahitya Academy Kanakashree Award and the Thoppil Ravi Award, among others. Manalppava is his most recent work. Uthamapurushan Katha Parayumbol, Nilam Poothu Malarnna Naal, Murinaavu and Sudoku are some of his other notable publications.

PRABHA VARMA

Prabha Varma is an acclaimed poet, lyricist and journalist. He writes across various genres such as poetry, novel, travelogs and studies. He is the recipient of such accolades like the Kendra-Kerala Sahitya Academy Awards, the Vayalar Award, the Padmaprabha Award and the Asan-Ulloor-Vallathol Awards. Has also received several notable honors for music composition as well as journalism. His verse novel Syamamadhavam won the Library Council Award for the Best Literary Work of the Decade. Raudra Sathvikam, Ponnikolusu, Kalapasham and Pranayathinte Kavyapusthakam are some of his other most acclaimed works. Ferocious Piety, a novel, is one among his most recent publications.

M S BANESH

M S Banesh is a novelist and poet. Jalabhadradinrathrangal and Premalekhanam published by DC Books are his publications. His novel Premalekhanam is a romantic entertainment thriller. Set in the backdrop of Kolkata, Jalabhadradinarathrangal, his first novel known for its experimentation with language. Nenjuvirich Thalakunikkunnu, Kathushikshikkanae, Nallayinam Pulaya Acharukal, and Perakkavadi are his poetry collections. He has received several awards such as the R. Ramachandran Award, Ayanam A. Ayyappan Award and Jinesh Madappally Award. He is also seven times recipient of State Government Television Award.

P F Mathews

P F Mathews is a critically acclaimed author and screenwriter with several works to his credit. He has written the screenplay for movies such as Puthran, Kuttisraank, Ee. Ma. Yau and Athiran. Chaavunilam, Iruttil oru Punyalan and Kadalinte Manam are some of his acclaimed novels. P F Mathews is the winner of several prestigious accolades such as the SZIFF Tanzania Award, the National Award and Kerala State Television Award for Best Screenplay, the SBI Award for Best Novel and the Vaikom Muhammad Basheer Award. Moonga is his most recent work.

B Jeyamohan

B Jeyamohan is a writer and literary critic. He writes in Tamil and Malayalam. His oeuvre includes novels, short stories, literary criticism, biographies, introductory texts to Indian and Western literature, books on philosophy, and translations. Some of his prominent works include Vishnupuram, Pin Thodarum Nizhalin Kural, Kaadu, Kottravai,Vellai Yaanai, Nooru Simhasanangal, and Uravidangal. Jeyamohan has completed his serialized retelling of the Indian epic, Mahabharata, called Venmurasu (The White Drum), consisting of twenty-six volumes. His works have been translated, and he also writes screenplays. Malarthuli: Short Stories, Thanmeetchi, Vanangaan, Aazhnathiyai Thedi are also some of his recent works.

ASOKAN CHARUVIL

Asokan Charuvil is a Malayalam short story writer. Kaattorkadavu, Kangaroo Nrutham, Kalpanikkaran, and Pulineli Station are some of his prominent works. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award.

S Gopalakrishnan

S. Gopalakrishnan writes in English and Malayalam publications. The series Jalarekhakal in Bhasha Poshini and Chevi Orkkumbol in Malayalam weekly are written by him. Some of his works include Jalarekhakal, Kadha Pole Chilathu Sambhavikkumbol, Gandhi: Oru Ardha Nagna Vayana, Manushyanumayulla Udambadikal and Paattum Kaalavum.After working in Akashavani, he was the content director of Sahapedia (an online Encyclopedia of South Asian Culture). He has also worked as the Content Head at Radio Mango, UAE.

RAFEEQ AHAMMAD

Rafeeq Ahammed, a Malayalam poet, lyricist and novelist. He is regarded as the most successful and critically acclaimed lyricist of contemporary Malayalam cinema. He is a six-time winner of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyrics. And has won several literary and film awards, including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2006 for his poetic work, Aalmara. His recent publication is a poem titled Pramukthan.

Sithara S

Sithara S is a short story writer. Her major works are Idam, Agniyum Kathakalum, Veyilil Oru Kaiyezhuthukari, Nrithashala, and Veshapakarcha. She has translated Malala Yousafzai’s We Are Displaced into Malayalam as Enteyum Katha and published by DC Books. She has won many awards and accolades for her writings including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Gita Hiranyan Award and Sahitya Akademi Golden Jubilee Prize. Amlam is her recent work.
