K Satchidanandan

An esteemed poet, K Satchidanandan is a paragon of excellence in the field of literature. His oeuvre spans across varied genres like poetry, drama, article and travelogue. Satchidanandan writes poetry and prose in both Malayalam and English. He has 24 collections of poetry to his credit besides four books of travel, a full length play and a collection of one-act plays, and many critical essays. He currently serves as the President of the Kerala Sahitya Academy. Defne Suman

Defne Suman is a renowned Turkish author. Her books have been translated into many languages of the world, including English, Spanish and German. Her English debut is The Silence of Scheherazade, a historical fiction that recounts the story of the destruction of the cosmopolitan town of Smyrna. At The Breakfast Table is her second novel that was published in English and Summer Heat is one among her latest novels. Defne currently resides in Athens.

V Shinilal is a short story writer and novelist. His major works are Adi, 124, Sambarkkakranthi, Buddhapatham and Garisappa Aruvi Adhava Oru Jalayathra. His latest work, Chola, is published by DC Books.

Sheeja Vakkom

Dr. Sheeja Vakkam, an illustrious writer from Malappuram, serves as the Senior Medical Officer at the Ayurveda Dispensary. Her poetry Shikhandini and poetry collections Kilimaram and Anthikkallum Pranayashappum have been published by DC Books. He has received various awards including Edasseri Award, Aashan Yuvakavi Award and Vyloppilli Award.

Shabna Mariyam

Shabna Mariyam is currently working as a content writer and professional presenter, has about fifteen short stories published in prominent periodicals. The debut novel, Pigment, was released by Mathrubhumi Books, followed by a children’s novel, Havva, serialized in Deshabhimani and later published by Logos. The third novel, Ayathi, won the 2023 Karur Memorial Award. A short story also earned the Kalakendram Madhavikutty Award.

Santhosh Echikkanam

Santhosh Echikkanam is a prominent Indian writer and screenwriter in Malayalam cinema. He is known for his short stories, Komala and Biriyani and screenplays for films, Annayum Rasoolum and Bachelor Party. He has worked as a teacher at Durga Higher Secondary School, Kanhangad and was also associated with Akashvani. He has received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Story, Padmaprabha Literary Award, Karur Award, Pravasi Basheer Award among others.

Neena Attingal

Neena Atingal is working as a teacher, social activist, and motivational speaker. She is a member of several literary organizations due to her interest in literature. She has written many short stories and articles. Abhoumika is the first book. Ghazal is her second book.

M R Renukumar

M.R. Renukumar is an acclaimed poet, painter and translator. His oeuvre spans across different genres like poetry, children’s literature, studies and translations. His poetry collections Veshakkaya and Kothiyan won the 2008 SBT Award and the 2019 Kerala Sahitya Academy Poetry Award, respectively. His work Aracycle won the FOKANA Award and his work Nalam Classile Varal won the Best Children’s Literature Award instituted by the Children’s Literature Institute. M R Renukumarinte Kavithakal is his most recent collection of poetry.

K Rekha

K Rekha is a short story writer. Her major works include Angamaliyile Mangakkariyum Villuvandiyum Mattu Kathakalum, Ninnil Charunna Nerath, and Arudeyo Oru Saghavu: Anthikkattukari.

Jenny Erpenbeck

The winner of the 2024 International Booker Prize, Jenny Erpenbeck is an acclaimed German author. Her oeuvre spans across works of fiction such as The Book of Words, The Old Child and Visitation, among others, as well as the nonfiction collection Not a Novel. She won the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize for her 2012 novel The End of Days. In 2016, Jenny Erpenbeck was awarded the Thomas Mann Prize. She was a finalist for the 2024 Neustadt Prize and won the 2024 International Booker Prize for Kairos.
