JACOB ABRAHAM

Jacob Abraham is a renowned novelist and short story writer. He was born in Vellappara, Pathanamthitta district. Jacob Abraham is currently serving as the Project Head of the Radio Malayalam initiative under the Malayalam Mission of the Kerala Government’s Department of Culture. Previously, he worked at Club FM 94.3 in Kannur. His notable works include,
‘Tattoo’, ‘Ah Muthal Am Vare Pokunna Theevandi’, ‘Vishama Vruthathil Vishudhar’, ‘Urakkam Thoongi Marangalude Nagaram’, ‘Marangalkidayil Oru Monastery’, ‘Shwasagathi’, ‘Kumari’, ‘Van Goghinde Kamuki’,’ Ente Pathanamthitta Kathakal’, ‘Plum Pazhangalude Season’, ‘Kachiya Morinte Manamulla Uchchannerangal’, and ‘Mindaamadam’.

He has earned several recognitions for his writing, including first prize in the Mathrubhumi Weekly Vishu Edition Short Story Competition, the Muttathu Varkey Campus Story Award, and the Weblokam Short Story Award. His debut short story collection, Tattoo, won the 2013 Kerala Sahitya Akademi Geetha Hiranyan Endowment Award for short stories and the Kerala Bhasha Institute Karoor Prize. He has also received the DC Books Romance Fiction Award, the Kairali Saraswathi Novel Award, and the inaugural P. Ayyaneth Memorial Award.

JAI NK

Jai N.K was born in 1973 in Pathanamthitta district, to Krishnan Nair and Sarojani Amma in Vechuchira. After studying at St. Thomas College, Ranni, he worked in mechanical construction in rural and medium-sized towns of the northern Indian states for more than a decade and then worked for a long time in countries like Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Congo in Africa. INDIRA ASOK

Indira Ashok was born in Cherthala to K.V. Prabhakaran and N. Premavalli. She initiated poetry writing as a student. In 2008, she represented Malayalam poetry at the All-Language Poets Conference held in connection with the Republic Day celebrations. She was a teacher of English at T.K.M.M. College, Nangyarkulangara. She has won many awards, including the Kunju Pillai Award (1996), Mahakavi Kuttamath Award (2009), and Venmani Award (2010). Her works include Sankhu, Ekam, and Pravachaka.

HRISHIKESAN PB

Hrishikesan P.B. was born in Melur near Chalakudy to Padutholmana Brahmadathan Namboothiri and Gauri Antharjanam. He worked as a scientific officer in the Atomic Energy Department of NPCIL in Mumbai for a long time and retired. He lives in Melur. His published poetry collections are Paathi Polliyoraksharam, Kannadappuzha, LolachitharamChitrashalabhanale, Mindal, Onnaddu Varamo Nee, Kanataavavanur. He has translated poems from Marathi and other Indian languages into Malayalam. His poetry has received the Changampuzha Award, Abu Dhabi Shakti Award, Moodadi Damodaran Award, Katharangam (Bangalore) Award, Atlas Kairali Award, and V.T. Gopalakrishnan Award (Mumbai). The poems have been translated into English, Hindi and Marathi.

ARDRA K S

Ardra K.S was born in Keezhoor, Palakkad district. to K. Sreenivasan and K.R. Sreelatha. Graduated from the Regional Institute of Education, Mysore and secured her postgraduate degree from the Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University in Kerala. She is an M.Phil research student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. She has won the Mathrubhumi Vishupathip literary competition, the V.K.G. Literary Award, the Purogamana Kalasahitya Sangham Navkatha Puraskar, and the Khasakkin Ithihasam Suvarna Jubilee Katha Puraskar of the O.V. Vijayan Smaraka Samiti. AZEEM THANNIMOODU

Azeem Thannimoodu was born in Thannimoodu village near Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram, to E. Abdul Rahman and S. Safiya Beevi. He stepped into the field of poetry through the children’s column in the Mathrubhumi Weekly. Azeem Thannimoodu currently serves the role of Thiruvananthapuram Bureau Correspondent of Deshabhimani Newspaper.

He has published poetry collections ‘Kanataya Vakkukal‘, ‘Marathine Thirichu Vilikunna Vithu‘, and ‘Annu Kanda Kiliyude Mattu‘. And an essay collection ‘Mindiyum Mindateyum’. His works have received numerous awards such as the Mooloor Memorial Award, Abu Dhabi Shakti Award, Dr. Nellikal Muraleedharan Memorial Award, Poorna R Ramachandran Award, and Ulloor Memorial Literary Award, Annu Kanda Kiliyude Mattu has received the Chathannu Mohan Memorial Award and BCV Memorial Poetry Award, Kanataya Vakkukal has received the Vayloppilly Award, VT Kumaran Master Award, Vaikom Muhammed Basheer Memorial Award, Thirunelloor Karunakaran Award’, Moodady Damodaran Memorial Award’, Aniyava Sahitya Award, Yuva Sahitya Award, and Kanyakumari Malayalam Samajam Award. Also, poems of Azeem Thannimoodu have been included in the Kendra Sahitya Akademi’s Anthology of poems in Malayalam (1980–2010), the 21st Century Malayalam Poetry Supplementary Special Section, and the syllabi of Pondicherry University, Kerala University, and Kannur University. He represented Malayalam poetry at the 2021 Kritya International Poetry Festival.

BASIL

Basil was born in Mazhuvannoor area of Ernakulam district. He has been writing stories and poems for some years. He is the author of Chaya Vilkkan Kothicha Cherukkan.

B. MURALI

B. Murali was born on 3 April 1971. He is the Assistant. Editor at the Thiruvananthapuram unit of Malayala Manorama. His works include Umberto Eco, Poomudikattuzhinjathum Pushpajalam Kozhinjathum, Kafka in the Courthouse, Protozoa, Chenthipoloru Malakha, Raga Nibadhamalla Mamsam, Ninte Chorayile Veenjhu, Harithavaishikam, Kamukuri, Panchamibar (collections of stories), Alakambadi (novel), and Writer’s Block (collection of essays). He has translated Maria Amparo Escandon’s novel Esperanza’s Box of Saints and some parts of the collections Lokakatha and Kahlil Gibran’s Kritikal. He has received the Sanskriti Puraskar for literature in Indian languages, Abu Dhabi Shakti Award, V.P. Sivakumar Smaraka Keli Award, S.B.T. Sahitya Puraskar for short stories and children’s literature, Pune Malayalam Shabdam Award, E.P. Sushma Endowment, Anganam Award, Atlas Kairali Award, and Basheer Memorial Story Award of the Kerala Language Institute. Pandalam Kerala Varma Award for best editorial in the field of journalism.

BIJOY CHANDRAN

Bijoy Chandran was born in 1973 in Enanallur near Muvattupuzha, to Thadathil Ramachandran and Nellakunnel Thankamma. He graduated in Chemistry from St. Peter’s College, Kolenchery. Then he did an M.A. in English and History. He is a teacher in the parallel field in Muvattupuzha and the editor of the magazine “Torcha“. He has published the books Kaval (1996), Vilasamila Oru Katth (1997), Postman Varatha Kannada (2004), Nilappana (2010), Thumbipittham (2014), Pakal Nadakkananirukanna Irutu (2019), Vithupaaral and Aadhi (2020). The book Nilappana was selected as the best poetry collection of 2010 by India Today.

BAIJU N NAIR

Baiju N. Nair was born in Vellore, Kottayam, to Narayanan Nair and Shanthakumari. He completed his postgraduate studies from Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam and a diploma in journalism from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Released the magazine, Top Gear, the first automobile magazine in Indian languages. He serves as the chief editor of Smart Drive automobile magazine. He has penned several works, including Londonilekku Oru Road Yathra, Ukrainum Taiwanum: Randu Rajyangal Vethyastha Lokangal and Balkan Diary. His book Londonilekku Oru Road Yathra won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Best Travelogue in 2018. In 2014, he became the first person to travel 24,000 kilometers and more than twenty countries from India to London by road.
