Gafoor Arackal was born in Cheruvannur, Kozhikode district. His parents are Usankoya and Pathey. Higher education at Farooq College and Farooq Training College. Works in the film industry. Currently, lives in Chelari, Malappuram district. Other works include Nirdra nashttapetta Sooryan, Amoeba Irapidikunathengane (poetry collection), Bhoothathinte Bhavi, Hortuskalude Chomi (novel) and Matsyagandhikalude Dweep (children’s literature).
