ANEES BASHEER

Anees Basheer is the son of the legendary Malayalam writer popularly known as the “Beypore Sultan”, Vaikom Muhammad Basheer, and Fathima Beevi (fondly known as Fabi). He grew up in the Vylalil House in Beypore, Kozhikode. A home that was a renowned hub for Kerala’s literary circles. Shahina Basheer is his sibling. He is known for his work in preserving and promoting his father’s extensive literary and cultural legacy in Kerala.
