Author Award: State Television Award jury

Premkumar was born in Kazhakoottam, Thiruvananthapuram district, to James Samuel and Jayakumari. Graduated in Psychology from the University of Kerala. BTA degree with first rank from the School of Drama, Calicut University. His works include Daivathinte Avashikal. Active in Malayalam cinema since 1991. Acted in about 150 films. Was a member of the State Television Award jury (2016). Has received many awards, including the State Television Award for Best Actor (1993). He writes articles on social issues in periodicals. Currently, he is the Vice-Chairman of the State Chalachitra Academy.
