Author Award: Malayalam Kavitha Puraskaram

Ajeesh Dasan is a Malayalam poet and lyricist and was born on May 10, 1980, in Vaikom. He holds a degree in Malayalam literature from Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam. He received the 2004 Malayalam Kavitha Puraskaram for his poetry. His poetry installation of the poem Desiyamrugam has received much attention. It was also recorded in the Limca Book of Records. His poems have been published in English and German. His wife is Minu and has a daughter, Ananthalaxmi. Some of his notable books include: Puthu Kaalam Puthu Kadhakal (Collection of stories), Aa Ummakalkkoppamallathe (Poetry), Kottayam Christuvum Mattu Kavithakalum (Poetry) and Cancer Ward (Poetry).
