GOPINATH MUTHUKAD
Gopinath Muthukad was born on April 10, 1964, in Kavalamukatta near Nilambur in Malappuram district. Kavanancheri Kunjunninair and Muthukad Devaki Amma. He started studying magic at the age of ten. He graduated in Mathematics from Manjeri N.S.S. College. He started studying L.L.B. but dropped out due to his passion for magic and established himself in this field. He has been working in the field of professional magic since 1985.
He has won many awards, including the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award in 1995, the International Magic Star Award (Paris) in 1999, the Pratibha Pranamam of the State Government in 2000, the Merlin Award, known as the Oscar of Magic in 2011, and the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Fellowship in 2018. In addition to professional magic, he is the Executive Director of Magic Academy, the world’s first magic museum, Magic Planet, a UNICEF celebrity supporter, and an ambassador for the Kerala Child Rights Commission. His works include India My Spellbound Love, Indi Ente Pranayam Vismayam and Ee Kathyilumundoru Magic
