VENUGOPAL TP

T.P. Venugopalan was born in Pappinissery, Kannur district. He is a former Kerala Sahitya Akademi member, former Principal of Pappinissery EMS Memorial Govt. Higher Secondary School, and former Project Coordinator of Samagra Shiksha Keralam Kannur District. He has fifteen works, including Bhoomiyude Thottakar, Sugandhamazha, Anunasikam, Kettal Chanku Pottuna Oronnu, Thunnalkaran, Side Curtain, etc. He has received thirteen awards, including the Cherukad Award, Edassery Award, and Public Servant Literary Award.

KHADEEJA MUMTAZ

Khadeeja Mumtaz, born in 1955 in Kattoor in Thrissur district, retired voluntarily while in service at Kozhikode Government Medical College, as Professor of Gynaecology. She was the Vice President of Kerala Sahitya Akademi for six years and was also a member of the Academic Council at Thunchathezhuthachan Malayalam University. Her notable works include Atmatheerthangalil Mungiya Nivaran, Bars, Sargam Samooham and Adhi Niveshangal , among others. Mumtaz started her literary career with Athmatheerthangalil Munginivarnnu, which was first published as a serial novel in Chandrika weekly and later as a book by Current Books in 2004. Mumtaz rose to fame with her novel Barsa (2007), which was a great critical and popular success. Her accolades include the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, the Cherukad Award, the K.V. Surendranath Award, and the Thrissur Sahitya Vedi Award.

AMBIKASUTHAN MANGAD

Ambikasuthan Mangad was born in Bara village of Kasaragod district. He earned his M.A. and M.Phil. degrees with top ranks and obtained a Ph.D. in the field of “Concept of Time in Short Stories.” In 2002, he was awarded the Kerala State Television Award for Best Short Story for Commercial Break. He served as the editor of Jeevithathinte Upamayum (the first campus novel anthology) and Ponjari (the first regional language dictionary). He has published four books of literary criticism. His first novel was Marakkappile Theyyangal, and Enmakaje has been translated into Kannada, Tamil, and English. Many of his short stories have been translated into various Indian languages and English. Ambikasuthan Mangad retired as the Head of the Malayalam Department from Nehru College, Kanhangad. He has received 27 prestigious awards, including the Karoor, Edasseri, Anganam, Cherukad, Abu Dhabi Shakthi, Malayattoor Prize, V.T. Bhattathiripad, SBT, Kovilan, and V.P. Sivakumar Keli Awards
