MURALEE THUMMARUKUDY

Muralee Thummarukudy, a Malayali. He is the head of the Disaster Mitigation Division at the United Nations Environment Programme. His hometown is Vengola near Perumbavoor. He holds a degree in civil engineering from Kothamangalam M. A. College and a doctorate from IIT Kanpur. He has worked in war and disaster areas in more than fifty countries around the world. He writes regularly in Malayalam on disaster mitigation.
