K C NARAYANAN

K.C. Narayanan was born in 1952 in Sreekrishnapuram, Palakkad district. He passed his M.A. from Pattanpi College in 1974. He worked in various units of ‘Mathrubhumi’ from 1975 to 1998. During this time, he was also in charge of the Mathrubhumi weekly and Mathrubhumi Weekend Edition. He retired in 1998 while working as the editor of Thrissur News. He then took charge of Malayala Manorama’s Bhashaposhini and yearbooks published in five languages and retired in 2019. His works include Mahabharatham – Oru Swathanthra Software, Mahatma Gandhiyum Madhavikuttyum and Malayaliyude Rathrikal, showcasing his prowess as a literary and cultural critic. He was awarded the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2003. At present, K.C. Narayanan divides his time between Kozhikode and his ancestral house in Sreekrishnapuram, Palakkad district.
