DR. B. UMADATHAN

He has served as the former Director of Medical Education for the state of Kerala, the Medico-Legal Advisor to the Kerala Police, and as a Professor and Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at the medical colleges in Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Thrissur, and Kottayam. He also held the positions of District Police Surgeon, State Medico-Legal Expert & Consultant, Director of the Kerala Medico-Legal Institute, and Principal of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. He was the Medico-Legal Consultant for the Libyan Arab Republic. Additionally, he was a Professor and Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at Amrita Medical College and the Chairman of the Organ Transplantation Authorization Committee. He passed away on July 3, 2019.
