Publish with DC Books

DC Books is  the first print publication company in India with an ISO 9001 certification that has also obtained  a Forga PSO Certification for both sheetfed and web offset printers coupled to pre-press systems in 2024. Deploying an extensive array of pre and post press systems and a state of the art printing infrastructure, DC Books ensures seamless quality across the board.

Editorial Review & Response

  • On receipt of a manuscript from an author it is reviewed by our editorial committee.
  • Authors will be intimated about the decision of the editorial committee within a month, communicated via the contact details provided by the author.

Publishing Process (On acceptance of a manuscript)

  • If a manuscript is accepted, an agreement will be drafted between the author and DC Books.
  • This agreement outlines the terms of publication, including royalty specifications.
  • Once signed by both parties, the manuscript shifts into the publication process.

Publication Timeline

  • Generally, it takes a year to publish a book. In some cases, especially non-fiction, the process could take longer depending on editorial scheduling and market demand.

Costs and Royalties

  • Authors do not have to bear any publishing costs.
  • A royalty will be paid to the author as specified in the agreement.
  • Post – publication, an author will receive 5 free copies of the book. Additional copies may be purchased at a discounted rate.

Additional guidelines

  • Rejected manuscripts will not be returned. Submit only a copy, not the original.
  • DC Books will not accept manuscripts already sent to other publishers.
  • Previously rejected manuscripts will not be reconsidered.

Meeting the Editor

  • Personal meetings with the editor are possible, but prior appointment is required.
