Arya Gopi
Arya Gopi is an acclaimed bilingual poet who writes in English and Malayalam. A contributor to major Malayalam journals, she has won more than fifty literary recognitions, both national and international, including the Kerala State Sahitya Academy Kanakasree Award and the Sharjah International Book Festival Translation Grant. She is an executive committee member of the Malayalam Mission under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the Government of Kerala. She has represented the Malayalam language in three International Festival of Letters – Imphal 2019, Shimla 2022 and New Delhi 2024- hosted by the Sahitya Akademi, Delhi. Her poems were translated into Hindi, English, Kannada, and Bengali. Her English poems have appeared in Muse India Journal, Teesta Review, Modern Literature International Journal, The Usawa Literary Review, Kavishala Magazine, Indian Literature, Malayalam Literary Survey and elsewhere. Malakha Matsyam, Avasanathe Manushyan, Kannadiyile Daivam, Sob of Strings and One Hundred lines of Discord are some of her most noted works. Dr. Arya Gopi currently serves as the Head of English Department at the Kozhikode Zamorin Guruvayurappan College.
