Big Little Book Award 2021 invites nominations for best author and illustrator

The Big Little Book Award (BLBA) offered by the Tata Trust’s Parag Initiative is inviting nominations for best author and illustrator. The BLBA, is an annual award established to celebrate outstanding works in children’s literature, The author category of the award is language-specific and is based on an Indian language.

Every year, an Indian language is selected, and an author with notable contribution in that language is awarded. This year the recognition is for works in the Malayalam language. The illustrator category of the award is not language-specific. Any illustrator whose works are published in India, for books of any Indian language, including English can apply. Nominations can be submitted till July 09.

Nominations can be submitted by filling in the online form and submitting directly or sending an email to  hello@biglittlebookaward.in after downloading and filling the form. One person can nominate up to three authors and three illustrators, it is a public nomination system. Self-nominations will not be accepted.  Following the evaluation process, the Tata Trusts Parag Initiative will announce the winners in December 2021.
