DC / Current bookstores across the state will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to provide relief to book lovers on lockdown days. The decision comes after the government allowed bookstores to open three days a week. This was announced by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at a press conference after the Covid 19 review meeting. The decision was taken at the request of the Kerala Publishers and Booksellers Association
The decision will help the future of creativity, writers’ income and support thousands of workers to survive the current crisis.
